Important to remember: NOTHING about this will be easy. Think about it … you are clearly considering changing your life for the better in one of the most drastic, but effective ways ever. You have chosen to adopt a healthy lifestyle – and you need to do simple things EACH day to get started. I have done them, lived and shared them effectively for at least the past 10 years. I’m an advocate and an expert. Lets get started on getting started.

LOSE the DRAMA.

This maybe one of my best life lesson offerings – and it technically has nothing to do with loosing weight or anything physical. The BEST advice I can give anyone about any thing is – LOSE the DRAMA. People places and things. There is NO way to be successful in a stressful environment or surrounded by haters or frenemies. True indeed many of us create or own drama. But if you think you’re doing everything right and you aren’t successful in your goals and processes then take a look around you … then take a look inside.

Be Prepared.

Keeping your head in the game is the most important part of the game. You have to live and breathe dedication and discipline.. Every aspect of your life should be focused on the betterment of your future. Which means preparing in every way. Prepare yourself for this journey by preparing. This is actually simple, it just involves time and perhaps a bit of research. We ALL know i’m HUGE on meal preparation but i’m also crazy strict about my schedule. In the beginning of the week I prepare all of my food and I also arrange my social schedule around my gym schedule. I’m not one for surprises but it does happen every once in a while. That’s where priorities kick in and I seem to always make the correct informed decision. You have to be hard on yourself and hold yourself to your own accountability. No one can do this for you, and no one understands how all your decisions and actions should be in favor of this new and exciting lifestyle. It all has to change. Not Just the way you eat and how active you are – but first and foremost – the way you THINK. If you can’t keep promises to yourself … how will you ever find the success you are seeking?

Stay Positive.

Another important part of this journey is KNOWING you are better than you were yesterday, or last week, or last year. Keep in mind that even if you slip up, you can still stay committed to the process. There is no success without failure. And ALL of us have failed at this so many times, the difference this time is that you will continue on until you have your own version of success. Today will be better than yesterday. Make this your mantra if you must. Knowing that you are changing your life with every moment you are staying committed to a better WILL be enough.

 

There are many “how tos” and “why nots” to weight loss and a healthy spirit. This post is not in dedication to those, people can tell you a thousand different ways to change yourself and the only factor that will be continuously obvious is that YOU have to do the work. I’m writing this – because i’ve been there. I’ve started – REPEATEDLY and one day I got it right … and i’ve been continuously getting it right for the past 10 years. A little motivation can take you a long long way.
