After the beet fiasco I started contemplating other “strange” (to me) fruits and vegetables to add to my dinner smoothie pool. I had a few avocados in the fridge so it seemed natural that blending with bananas would create an amazing texture. The taste I wasn’t sold on – so I added some peanut butter … and a few other things. The smoothie turned out better than I expected. Below is what I included.
- 1 ripe Banana (frozen)
- 1 half ripe Avocado
- Peanut butter – half tablespoon (whatever flavor you choose)
- Cashews – 7 or 8
- 1 ounce of water or Almond milk
- Dried cranberries (optional topping)
Blend in the nutri or magic bullet until creamy smooth.
