Watamelonwata: Infused Watermelon Water recipe

Instead of cucumber this week I subbed in watermelon when infusing weekly water. Nothing against watermelon, I just live in NYC and actually carry groceries with my hands. Hint: Melons are HEAVY! I instead purchased prepackaged (lazy I know) fresh watermelon chunks to use in this easy detoxing recipe. Although I’m not bored of my usual combinations just yet, this was at least visually different. Recipe below, add more or less of whatever you like. Theres actually no wrong way to infuse. Keep it simple – stupid.

yields 6 – 1 quart mason jars

  • 1 lemon
  • 3 slices of watermelon chunked – 1 inch pieces
  • 12 blackberries
  • 1 Jalapeno pepper
  • 12 basil leaves
  • ice (optional)
  • water

Chop / slice  and distribute fruit evenly to mason jars – add ice and water, cap jars.

(I added Yogi Green tea to a few of them for a little boost post workouts)

Refrigerate overnight.

Drink daily – and share the recipe!!!
