Tummy tactics : Natural Bloating remedies

by Thursday, March 13, 2014

Way too often I am a victim of false advertising around my midsection. Instead of showing off the careful sculpting of my waistline I channel a puffy distorted replica.  This happens at the smallest urging whether from chewing gum or tasting hummus there’s no telling how much air will accumulate urging my stomach to protrude just so. Finally I’ve found some natural remedies to deflate the occasional tire that encompasses me at the most inopportune times. Furthermore – it’s GREAT to just pinpoint your trouble foods and avoid them. Especially before special events and photo shoots, but these easy super foods will do the trick if you get caught out there.

lemongingerCinnamon – It’s not just for pie! Growing up the only uses for cinnamon I was aware of involved apple flavored things and chewing gum. As an adult i’ve found an abundance of usefulness for this bitter tasting bark. Adding cinnamon to tea will relieve gas in small amounts and in larger amounts it may be used as a natural laxative. Cinnamon naturally improves circulation and aids in smooth digestion.

Ginger or ginger root is in fact a soothing herb. It’s a super food that has many uses beyond adding a zing to my sushi. Ginger helps to reduce flatulence, aids digestion and is a time tested remedy against stomach aches and cramps. Additionally it helps with nausea & joint pain too! Try Ginger tea or grating a little over your salad and even chewing a little with honey to subside bloating. It’s an absolute staple in my household.

Lemon Love! Many people believe in drinking warm lemon water each morning before eating a single other thing. Among the various immune boosting traits fresh lemons aid in many other areas. Lemons aid in digestion and flush toxins from your body, the digestive qualities  help to relieve heartburn and bloating. Lemons are high in minerals, vitamins and fiber which help you to stay fuller longer. These tart yellow gems are also a mood enhancer  – a key reason as to why they are among the top of my favorite fruits.
