
We’re in the middle of a heatwave here in NYC, and I’ve been doing double workouts for a few weeks now. When I get home from work I want something easy and filling – but ALSO delicious. My go-to’s are usually smoothies because I always have the ingredients to make something interesting and fresh. Now try this lavender dream, I’m on a protein kick this week so I added some protein mix but you can sub for whatever you like.
- 1/2 banana
- 1 cup blueberries
- 1 cup ice
- 1 tbsp granola
- 1/2 cup water or Almond milk
- 1 serving of protein powder or 1 tbsp of natural PB
- 1 tbsp (any grains, nuts or dried fruits: cranberries, oatmeal, chia seeds, walnuts, almonds flax meal etc.)
Blend the banana, blueberries, ice, liquid, and protein in you nutribullet or blender for 45 seconds to a minute. Then pour the frothy liquid out into a bowl. Top with the most interesting toppers and healthy fixings you can find. Add more frozen berries for more texture.
