I’m all the rage about SuperFood Cilantro these days! Whether it’s asking for extra on my chipotle burrito or adding it to my home prepared creatively colorful salads, i’m starting to crave the unique but familiar hidden flavor it adds. When the Mediterranean herb cilantro is added to other fresh greens it creates a light citrusy punch. It’s that camouflaged green herb that stands out in any fresh pairing. In addition to tasting amazingly fresh there a many nutritional attributes to this very convenient herb. Cilantro is one of the richest herbal sources for vitamin K, which has a potential role in bone mass building. It’s also full of antioxidants, essential oils, vitamins, and dietary fiber – all beneficial to a healthy clean lifestyle. Superfoods are all around us, cilantro happens to be easy enough to grow in even the smallest home gardens and even on your New York City window sill.
