AA youths exposed to MORE alcohol ads … study says

new study puts some fresh data behind long-standing concerns about alcohol marketing to black kids. Young African Americans ages 12 to 20 see far more alcohol ads on television and in magazines than youths in general, according to the report published Thursday by the Center on Alcohol Marketing and Youth at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

In my opinion and also mentioned in the article, this is probably because we (African Americans) on a whole allow our children to watch too much TV. Sponsors know who is watching and who they are advertising to. It’s researched at 50% more African Americans. Not only does this prove that the negative influences children pick up from tv are sometimes directed toward them but the amount of television our children watch is a direct opposite of how much exercise they could be getting. Thus  ruining mind and body over all.
