3 ingredients – maximum flavor. Cauliflower is among my favorite veggies to roast. I’m practicing a bunch of keto recipes and I repeatedly see people swearing by “everything bagel” seasoning. It may seem lazy but it packs quite a punch. Adding this seasoning to ordinary cauliflower makes it special. Easy and special, prepping this will give you something to look forward to daily.
You will need the spice mixture, but ANY “everything bagel” seasoning will work, this is easier than blending all the spices yourself and is also good on almost anything. I found a random brand on amazon and checked out the reviews. Keep it simple. The finished product is FULL of flavor and the tips and bottom caramelize just right to provide a crispy bite. See below.
What you need
- Medium cauliflower head
- Everything bagel seasoning (coarse salt, poppy seeds, sesame seeds, garlic flakes, onion flakes)
- olive or coconut oil
What to do
Preheat the oven to 450
There is no reason to this rhyme. I call these steaks because I slice the cauliflower in large half-inch pieces instead of just using the florets. Try to cut in slices that don’t cause the cauliflower to fall apart.
Sprinkle a tbsp of oil on a large baking sheet and coat the surface. Next lay the cauliflower on the baking sheet and generously sprinkle oil all over it.
Next heap on the seasoning. Add as little or as much as you like, be mindful of the salt content.
Bake for 30 minutes, 40 minutes if you want crispier tips. You don’t need to turn. Cauliflower should be browned and a fork should easily slide in. That’s it! And really, for me, this is an entire meal but try pairing with grilled chicken breast. I used a large head and was able to meal prep lunch for 5 days.
